AMCON Distributing delivers to convenience stores across the country, from a single corner store to chains with a couple hundred locations. Over the last five years the company has grown by acquisition, and an acquisition arrives as something nobody has ever run as a route: a customer base.

Tim Roorda is Corporate Director of Transportation and Compliance, and that customer base is his to solve. He loads the whole thing into Route4Me and gets answers. Do the stops fit inside the fourteen hour DOT clock? Does every customer still get a thirty minute window? Can one warehouse cover the territory, or does it take two so trucks are not running into the same city twice?

Out of that comes a master route, eight to fifteen stores in a day, and sixteen when the numbers say the driver still gets back in time.
